A stove can fit in a drawer and still leave too little room to cook. Compare burner spacing, fridge access and work space, using our former 4Runner kitchen as a starting point.
First question Will the stove, food storage and utensils fit the vehicle while leaving room to cook?
Propane burners or a solar oven?
These cook differently. Consider cookware, fuel, available sun and campsite rules before choosing.
Consider it when: You want a grill pan that can stow in a compact vehicle kitchen.
Keep in mind: Our pan size is unconfirmed. Measure stove and drawer clearance; MASTERPAN currently says it is not taking online orders, so verify availability before planning a purchase.
Consider it when: You want two burners in a portable setup and can carry an appropriate propane supply.
Keep in mind: Burner ratings do not prove better real-world cooking. Check cookware clearance, the fuel connection and current availability.

Two-burner stove
Our later stove setup in the pullout kitchen. The photographed size is unconfirmed.
From our setup
A Cook Partner appears in our later kitchen photo. We have not confirmed its size; the 22-inch specifications here describe the current model.
Details that affect the fit
Current 22-inch model: 12 × 22 × 3.5 in
17 lb; 12 in between burners

In our February 2020 post, the drawer kitchen made cooking and washing up feel like home. The grill pan held burgers, onions and bread together. For another trip, we made tortillas at home for breakfast burritos, following Simply Mama Cooks. They dried out in the mountains, but we still thought they tasted good.

SnoMaster fridge
Powered cold storage
Our SnoMaster in the drawer kitchen. Its model and capacity remain unconfirmed.
From our setup
We bought it, and a DFG Offroad slide, at regular price from GTF Overland in Long Beach. We used it until we sold the 4Runner and gave up the whole system; we no longer own it. We cannot calculate runtime without the model label and battery setup.
Details that affect the fit
The model and capacity are not identified
In our experience it was efficient, held food cold and did not drain the battery, even in 100°F heat on multi-day trips
SnoMaster’s current FAQ describes adjustable low-voltage cut-out and AC/DC changeover; check the manual for the exact model
Consider it when: You want powered cold storage and can plan the battery, charging and slide together.
Keep in mind: Our model is unknown. Get its label before comparing cabinet dimensions, capacity or power draw.
Before you choose: Check actual cabinet dimensions, capacity and power draw for the exact model.

MSHPX listed width 24 in, depth 13 in, height 6 in; not explicitly labeled closed or deployed
12 lb listed weight, per Camp Chef
Consider it when: You want two burners in a portable setup and can carry an appropriate propane supply.
Keep in mind: Burner ratings do not prove better real-world cooking. Check cookware clearance, the fuel connection and current availability.
Before you choose: Check the actual closed package against storage. Listed dimensions do not establish deployed lid/windscreen or safe operating clearance. Confirm fuel/regulator requirements and use outdoors according to instructions.

Will a 22-inch Cook Partner fit my drawer kitchen?
The current stove measures 12 × 22 × 3.5 inches and weighs 17 lb. Check the usable drawer opening, access to the fuel connection and the space around it while cooking. Our photographed stove size is still unconfirmed.
Should I choose the fridge or the slide first?
Start with the exact fridge cabinet, then match the slide and mounting hardware. Our SnoMaster ran on a DFG Offroad slide, but we cannot give a compatible part number until its model is identified.
Should propane or solar cooking be my main meal setup?
Start with the meals and times you expect to cook. A two-burner propane stove lets you plan around burner and pan space, compatible fuel and campsite rules. A solar cooker depends on the available sunlight; Sport-E also lists 12V cooking, so check its electrical requirements and cooking-tube capacity with GoSun. We have not used Sport-E or Everest 2X and have no comparative cooking-speed test.
What should I check before choosing the Everest 2X or Sport-E?
Everest 2X lists two 20,000 BTU burners and a 215-square-inch cooking area; check your pans, the deployed footprint and fuel connection. Sport-E uses a tube instead of open burners; check food loading, cleaning access and whether its sun or 12V setup suits the time you cook. Do not treat GoSun’s advertised meal time as our measured result. Check current fire and device restrictions for the campsite.
