EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus vs BLUETTI AC70

Compare RIVER 3 Plus’s 286 Wh and 600 W with AC70’s 768 Wh and 1,000 W. Plan loads, weight and charging. We have not tested either model. The AC70 US direct listing is marked discontinued, with buying disabled as checked October 22, 2026. Remaining exact-model retailer stock is a separate availability question.

Which makes sense for you?

For modest loads and frequent recharging, start with the smaller RIVER 3 Plus. The AC70’s historical specifications list 768 Wh and 22.5 lb, but its US direct listing is discontinued. Confirm a remaining exact-model retailer route before treating it as a buying option. Neither is a guaranteed fridge runtime: choose from your loads, reserve and charging plan.

EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus

A smaller portable power station for modest camp loads

Consider it when: You want a portable battery for modest loads rather than wiring a second vehicle battery.

Keep in mind: A modest battery capacity can mean recharging more often, depending on fridge use. A panel, extra battery or compatible adapter can add to the total cost.

BLUETTI AC70

Untested historical comparison; discontinued direct listing

Consider it when: You already own an AC70 or are evaluating verified remaining exact-model retailer stock. The discontinued US direct listing is not a current buying recommendation.

Keep in mind: The listed capacity does not tell you how long your particular fridge will run. Solar input is a maximum, not a guaranteed charging rate.

Before you choose

Plan a day’s energy

Illustrative example: a fridge averaging 20 W over 24 hours uses 480 Wh. Assuming 80% of nominal capacity is available to that load gives a 600 Wh planning target before phones, lights or reserve. The 20 W and 80% are assumptions, not measured consumption or tested efficiency. Use your own daily energy measurement when available. RIVER 3 Plus’s listed 286 Wh is below this example target; AC70’s 768 Wh is above it, before other loads and reserve.

Check output as well as capacity

Watt-hours describe stored energy; watts describe output capability. Check normal demand, starting surge and the appliance connection against the rated output. Fridge cycling, temperature and conversion losses change actual energy use.

Match the exact model

This comparison covers RIVER 3 Plus and AC70, not RIVER Pro, RIVER 2 Pro or EB70. Those are different products. Match the full model name and US sockets before comparing an offer or bundle.

Price the complete setup

Include compatible panels, cables and any expansion battery you need. Check solar voltage, current and connectors against the manual. Input limits of 220 W and 500 W are not guaranteed camp charging rates. Confirm current stock and the selected bundle with the retailer.
